We would like to have three main actors in our film opening. Two detectives and one suspect. The detectives will be Astrid and I. The suspect will be Zoe, another student in our class. Our costume will consist of business casual attire, and possible a hat or coat, if we can find one in a thrift store. We want to look as though we are modern detectives working in an office, but I also want to make it clear that is who we are so people do not get confused by our clothing. I think through out dialogue we will also make it obvious that we are detectives. We began working on our script this week because we realized we will have lots of dialogue and a voice-over. In terms of props, we will need an evidence or case file for the suspect and we will also need a crime scene for the flashback. In our first scene we will need to make posters which will be hanging as evidence for the detectives to look at. We will be located at the school for the majority if not all of our filming. We may film at an apartment building or park at night to capture the suspicious element of the crime scene. However, the school building is a perfect place for place or filming because the walls, chairs, and tables, are all very monotone and grey, which I believe will capture the stone cold or hard emphasis of the theme. For example, I don't think it would be as fitting to film in a library or shopping mall because it would not be convincing to the viewer that we are detectives in an office building or police station (we won't blend in with out surroundings). We will begin filming on Wednesday, February 5th, at 7 am, tentatively. We will be using our phones (an iPhone 11 model) to film the movie opening.
