Editing (Post 1)
This week we finished filming and began editing. We had to re-shoot two scenes because we wanted to capture a better use of emotion within our time constraint. Using the green screen was a fun experience and we had to practice adjusting the pigmentation in Premiere Pro editing software. Here is Astrid and I finishing our filming in front of the green screen:
And this is a photo of us editing our green screen footage and applying the correct backgrounds:
Next week we will work with sounds. We want to have a mix of digetic and nondigetic sound in our movie opening. We will have a voice over of Astrid's thoughts during the footage of the crime scene to help display a flashback scenario. We have yet to discuss what font we will be using in our movie, but we have a few titles picked out which we like, one including: "Law and Disorder" because our movie is sort of a mystery spoof. We haven't discovered any major issues in our editing yet, despite having to re-shoot a green screen scene because the lighting interfered with the clarity of the green screen. We have devoted two days to editing so far, and we have much to work on. Astrid and I are still getting acquainted with the Premiere Pro editing software.
